Oil Misters
After watching many hours of Food Network, many of the chefs are using oil misters to spray their pans with olive oil. After reading some into these spritzers, the two best brands are Cuisipro and Misto. Both were very easy to operate, sprayed for 10-plus seconds, and pans were evenly coated.

Wow, you sound like a great cook. Did you learn from your mom? I work with Donna at PHMS. From what little cooking I actually do, I can image it is important to pick a good spritzer because I know just from my little experience anything with oil, like Pam is messy around the spray area.
ReplyDeleteI am just not a cooker at all - but very impressed by your love of cooking! I do love the food network. I lucked out and my husband is the chef in our family.
ReplyDeleteI saw your post on my blog - Sugar and I belong to Therapy Dogs incorporated and Heart of Texas Therapy Dogs - the local branch. A teacher at Curtsinger is the president of the local branch - email me and I will be happy to forward her info.
Good to know! I'll pass your recommendation on to my chef! I love to watch Food Network.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Food Network and am finding myself using EVOO in a lot of my cooking. I'm thinking I should invest in one of these little oil misters. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I love to cook and use EVOO in almost everything. I have a Pampered Chef oil spritzer that I thought about the other day - wondering if I could put EVOO in it to spray in pans. It sounds like the same type of thing you were describing. I'm going to have to try it and hope it works. I've also heard peanut oil is good, but haven't used it much. May have to see if we like it. Happy cooking!
